volunteer info
The JP Opioid Interaction Awareness Alliance welcomes individuals who share our passion for ending the opioid epidemic. Whether you have lost a family member or friend or have personally faced opioid use disorder, please consider joining our fight. This epidemic has been many years in the making and it will take many more years, and the efforts of many people, to eradicate it. There are several ways to get involved:
Annual Golf Tournament
The Alliance holds its annual fundraiser - a golf tournament - each Spring. Money raised at the event supports our pharmacy scholarship program as well as our community collaboration and public awareness efforts.
The 2022 tournament will be held on June 4 at the Ridge at Castle Pines North Golf Course. To ensure the event’s success, we need volunteers to help with the following:
- Soliciting for tournament sponsors and players
- Soliciting for event prizes
- Helping at the event, which can involve any of the following:
- Morning set up
- On-course duties
- Afternoon breakdown and cleanup

Join the Affected Family and Friends Work Group
Two members of our board of directors are past chairs of the Affected Family and Friends Work Group that is part of the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention. This group’s mission is to provide family and friends affected by prescriptions drug misuse and abuse an outlet to increase awareness and provide opioid awareness education in their communities. The work group meets bi-monthly. New members are always welcome. For more information about the group, visit the Consortium’s website or contact us at info@jpopioidalliance.org.
